April 16, 2019, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Summit County Community & Senior Center
Driving is a means to perform daily activities and is often considered as an important aspect of independence. Many of us perform this activity every day and synchronize complex physical and cognitive skills without much thought. The medical community has learned how important this synchronization process is, and occupational therapy can provide unique insight into this skill. Share how occupational therapy can assist people to continue safe driving as a part of healthy and safe aging or return to safe driving after a medical incident. Backed by research and with a desire to keep people as independent as possible, they will discuss how occupational therapy can assist people in many differ-ent stages of life. Come and find out what safe driving is all about!
