SUMMIT COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL AND SHELTER ANNOUNCES

2019 FILM CONTEST WINNERS

SUMMIT COUNTY, CO – On March 8, 2019, Summit County Animal Control and Shelter announced the winners of the 2019 Film Contest at the Bow Wow Film Festival at Warren Station in Keystone as being Nature Currey and Ella Williams. Both girls attend Summit High School and created the film as a project for the Ecological Ethics Union Club.

Movies were to be under three minutes in length and show the relationship between humans and their pets. According to Nature, their film was, “created through different perspectives to show the relationship between a dog (Luke) and his owner. We filmed parts from the dog’s perspective to show how the dog sees things. This movie shows a day in the life of Luke.”

As winners of the competition, they received gift certificates from three of the sponsors; the Keystone Adventure Center where they can enjoy kayaking or ice-skating, Lakeside Bowling and Cameez, both in Dillon. Luke, the dog, received a gift certificate to A&A Pet Supply and Feed.

Summit County Animal Control and Shelter would like to extend their gratitude to the following sponsors that made the Bow Wow Film Festival a huge success: Angry James Brewery, Chuck and Don’s, City Market in Dillon, Evo3, Dillon Dam Brewery, Keystone Golf Course, HighSide Brewery, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Hyatt Place Keystone, Keystone Neighbourhood Company - Warren Station,  Lakeside Bowling, Murdoch’s, LAPS, Frisco Nordic Center, Pet Lovers, Petco, Pizza on the Run, Pug Ryan’s, Qdoba, Ready Paint Fire, Safeway in Frisco, Snack Shack, Keystone Starbucks, A&A Pet Supply and Feed, Cameez, Outlets at Silverthorne, Alpine Bank, Keystone Adventure Center, The Baker’s Brewery, The Colorado Store, The North Face in Keystone, Frisco Adventure Park, Uptown on Main, and Piante Pizza.
