Summit County Senior Citizens
Summit County Senior Citizens (SCSC), the nonprofit partner of the Summit County Community & Senior Center, strives to improve the quality of life for the members of the Summit County Senior Center and other senior citizens (those over 55) of Summit County by providing services and opportunities for residents and visitors for recreation, intellectual stimulation, physical activity, volunteering and sociability through programming and philanthropic endeavors both within the Senior Center and the greater community.
Become a MemberSCSC members benefit from a wide variety of programs, including games and social opportunities, health and fitness classes and outings, group trips, computer seminars and help sessions, in addition to many others.
- Membership dues are $15 per person per calendar year (January through December). Annual Membership Dues are due every year in January.
- Membership Directories are available for $3 at the Senior Center. Contact info is listed for those SCSC members who opt to be listed in the directory.
- Monthly Newsletter: SCSC members receive a monthly newsletter featuring activities, programs, calendars, menus, news, senior services, volunteer opportunities, and advertisements. SCSC members may receive the newsletter via email. A postal mailed newsletter is also available for an additional $10 per year. - Nametags: If you would like an SCSC nametag, please stop by the office to pick up a nametag order form. Cost is $6 for a pin nametag and $7 for a magnetic nametag. Please pay by cash or check made out to High Country Custom Impressions.

SCSC Activities & Programs
Summit County Senior Citizens offers a wide variety of activities and programs.
Computer Classes & Training
Computer Seminars are offered on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9-11 a.m. at the Senior Center. Topics include a variety of computer programs and software. For a complete schedule, please click on the link to online signup below. $5 per person charge for seminars.
One-on-one computer help sessions are offered the first three Mondays of each month from 4 to 5:30pm at the Senior Center. Help Sessions are also offered the second & fourth Saturdays of each month from 9 to 11am unless computer seminars are taking place. Help Sessions consist of a volunteer assisting you on whatever topic or problem you are interested in discussing. Whenever possible, we will pair one volunteer with each attendee. Due to space limitations, we must limit the number of attendees to six, so please sign up in advance! Don't forget to bring your computer or other technology device (camera, Smartphone, I-Pad, Kindle, etc.) so we can help you work with your own equipment. There is a $5.00 per person charge for help sessions.
Online Computer Class Signup
Indoor ActivitiesBridge, Mahjongg, board games, book club, Great Decisions discussion group, card games, Summit Quilters, GALS, yoga, line dancing and N’Balance are offered at the Senior Center.
Outdoor ActivitiesWinter outdoor activities include skiing and snowshoeing groups, and the popular Senior 50+ Winter Games in February! Summer outdoor activities include hiking, biking, rowing and kayaking, golf, gardening, and the Gigantic Rummage Sale the end of July!
Trips and ExcursionsMonthly trips and excursions are offered to visit a variety of special events and performances. Sign up at the senior center in advance, or call (970) 668-2940.

Annual fundraising events include the Rummage Sale and Silent Auction (July), 50+ Winter Games (February), the Margarita Booth at the Frisco BBQ in June and the July 4th Celebration on Frisco's Main Street.
