Summit County Ambulance Service is a state of Colorado recognized training group - meeting state standards of quality for EMS continuing education and offers the highest quality medical education to training group students while promoting the highest quality of patient care.The training division is committed to moving our EMS system forward with the newest science-based protocols, policies, and equipment.

Purpose


The purpose of the training division of Summit County Ambulance Service is to provide the highest quality medical education for emergency medical technicians of all certification levels through continuing education sessions and refresher courses, and to provide Colorado Advanced Practice Paramedic (Level 1) curriculum-based education for Summit County paramedics. Additionally, the training division presents critical care transport focused medical education as required by the medical director and the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners Chapter 2 for waivered medications, procedures, and medical acts above the Colorado Advanced Practice Paramedic.

We also provide extensive training opportunities for the lay rescuer to become certified in CPR / AED and first aid. Additionally, we offer re-certification opportunities for area healthcare providers in varying required courses.
